Miranda grew up in San Diego, CA and received a B.S. in Environmental Science from UCLA. During her undergraduate studies, Miranda focused on sustainable food production and green business. She then enrolled in the paralegal program at USD with the goals of learning practical legal skills and pursuing her interest in environmental law. After completing the paralegal program, Miranda joined Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP where she worked for three years as the sole assistant and paralegal to the leader of the Energy & Environment practice. At Procopio, Miranda interfaced daily with regional and national corporate clients and co-counsel on issues including regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, enforcement defense, resource agency settlement negotiations, and sustainable business practices. Miranda is now pursuing a J.D. from the University of Oregon with a focus on environmental law.
