Mathew Bain is a 1L who came to the University of Oregon School of Law from Montana. He graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT with a degree in environmental science and a minor in Hispanic studies. After graduating, he worked with MSU’s Office of Sustainability, consulted on LEED projects, and taught a special topics course on Montana energy policy. He is passionate about the role that law and policy play in creating sustainable communities and how that, in turn, impacts human health and wellbeing. After learning about the history of environmental public interest law at the University of Oregon, he knew where he had to go next! Mathew is excited to be taking on a leader/learner role as the treasurer’s apprentice this year.
