Jessie Gardner graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Sustainability, as well as a Certificate in Public Law. During her time at SDSU, she was an active member of Empowering Women in Law Society, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Pre-Law Society. She interned for the University of San Diego School of Law’s Energy Policy Initiatives Center, as well as ECOLIFE Conservation, a non-profit focusing on wildlife conservation and sustainable food systems. While at ECOLIFE, Jessie won the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2020. As a 1L, she was the Panel Outreach Representative for Land Air Water. She is now a 2L at the University of Oregon, as well as a Co-Director of the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference, Staff Editor for the Journal of Environmental Law and Litigation, Vice President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and an Oregon Law Ambassador.
