Zach Green is a 2L and Bowerman fellow. He is from Rockingham, North Carolina, attended NC State University in Raleigh where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Technology and a Master of Environmental Assessment. He also worked for the state of North Carolina as an Industrial Hygiene Inspector while pursuing his Master’s degree. After taking an environmental law course as a graduate student, he knew law school would give him the tools needed to make a positive impact in the field of environmental protection/preservation. Zach wanted to attend a law school with a strong environmental law program and to live in an area that had a strong affinity for environmental protection. He has since fallen in love with the school, the town, and the state of Oregon. He is interested in the areas of climate change mitigation, natural resource protection, and atmospheric pollution. He is a retired amateur rap artist and currently enjoys kayaking and hiking throughout the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
