Morgan Early grew up on the Southern Oregon Coast and the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. While in Oregon she enjoyed spending her time on the Wild and Scenic Rivers and in the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest. While in Alaska she spent her time on the Kenai River fishing for king salmon. She credits these experiences for her interest in the relationship between forests and watersheds and salmon population management. Morgan attended George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon where she studied political science and biology. During her time there, she was able to study influences on the king salmon population in Alaska and the potential solutions available through the political sphere that would mitigate the effect on the population. Morgan’s background and interest in rivers and forests and the species that depend on those ecosystems has prompted her to steer her legal career towards those natural resource issues.
