Gaby Penvenne grew up swimming, surfing, kayaking, and hiking on the central coast of California; exploring open spaces across the western United States and Alaska solidified her love and appreciation for the outdoors. Gaby attended the University of Denver for one year before transferring to UC Santa Barbara, where she competed as an NCAA DI swimmer and earned a BS in Environmental Studies. At Oregon Law, she is an Environmental and Natural Resources Law Fellow and a Legal Research and Writing tutor. Over the summer, Gaby was thrilled to get involved in nonprofit public interest environmental law practice: She clerked for the Environmental Defense Center in Santa Barbara, CA, and hopes to continue working on local, state, and national environmental issues through law school and beyond!
