Cal Norris and is a 2L originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Growing up he cared about two things: being outside and animals. Although he grew up in the Midwest, Cal’s parents made it a mission for him to see the country. He spent many family trips going to national parks throughout the lower 48 and Alaska. While studying history and political science at Indiana University, his parents moved to a small Mexican town on the Gulf of California, San Carlos, Sonora, which has allowed him to continue to explore new wildlife and new outdoor activities. Cal came to the University of Oregon because of its rich history in environmental law and its beautiful location in the Pacific Northwest. While studying an array of topics from human rights law to Indian Law, Land Air Water and PIELC have allowed Cal to be involved in a community of activists and lawyers, who share his passion for wildlife and the outdoors.
