Thomas Boone is a Co-Director and Treasurer for PIELC. Thomas utilizes his philosophy and history degree from West Virginia University to study the cross-section between law and policy at Oregon Law. He possibly gave you a tour in Richmond Va. working for the National Park Service where he experienced land-use issues upfront while protecting public lands. Additionally, Thomas spent months organizing for WV Citizen’s Action Group to defend the healthcare of Appalachians. He was integral to the passage of the West Virginia Medicinal Cannabis Act and later served as the Policy Chair for Richard Ojeda’s Congressional Campaign in West Virginia’s Third-District. Thomas encourages activists to run for office, support favorable candidates, and change the law to further sustainability initiatives.
